Primary School Admissions 2019 in Shipley

Do you have a child born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015?  It’s that time we’ve all been dreading/looking forward to. Primary school admissions 2019.

Bradford council’s online admissions system will be available for reception applications from 12 November 2018 until 15 January 2019, for children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015.

*A Note on Type of School* – The type of school determines who is responsible for making decisions on which children to admit. Bradford Council makes the decision for Community and Voluntary-Controlled schools. The school governors make the decision for Voluntary-Aided and Academy schools.

*A Note on Ofsted* – The best way to get a feel for a school is to visit, talk to the staff and ask questions. Ofsted results are just a snapshot of a particular day and often don’t really measure what is important to parents and children.

Regardless of who makes the decision, all applications must be made through the Bradford council central admissions system. Some schools use Supplementary Information Forms (SIFs) for providing extra information – usually proof of faith.

I have tried to include information of open days where possible. Many schools are yet to tell me when their open days are. I will update as I receive them.
