Bracken Hall Countryside Centre, Glen Road, Baildon, BD17 5EA
Bracken Hall Countryside Centre, located on Shipley Glen in Baildon, is run by the Friends of Bracken Hall, who organise walks, talks and outdoor activities and events for both adults and children alike.
Easily accessible on foot, by car, public transport or via the Shipley Glen Tramway, Bracken Hall is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm. The centre promotes both education and entertainment and offers a small museum, a school room and an outside garden area to explore.
When we visited, the museum was showcasing exhibitions on the history of the Shipley Glen Tramway and coal mining in Baildon.
Themed activities were available for children to have a go at in the school room.
Outside, we explored the garden area and searched for pond mini beasts!
During the school holidays, the Friends of Bracken Hall and Baildon Town Council organise FREE drop-in nature themed activity sessions for families with young children. The next session will take place during the half-term holiday on Wednesday 25th October 2017 at 2pm.
Parking is available opposite Bracken Hall Countryside Centre.
