Leeds City Museum with the little ones!

We recently visited Leeds City Museum with our children for the first time and were amazed at how child-friendly a museum it really is! It far exceeded our expectations and, in my opinion, is the perfect place for families with children of all ages, but a particularly great place to take the under 5s on a week day during term time, or at the weekend.

Toddler Town, located within The Leeds Story Exhibition, is brilliant! It’s like a mini nursery school setting and is a fantastic touch – not something that we were expecting to find.

The For All Seasons Exhibition explores how the world around us changes with the seasons. Our children loved this exhibition, but it only runs until 28 August 2017, so if you haven’t visited yet, make sure that you do before the summer is over. There is so much to do, as you can see from the photos below.

Located within the Life on Earth Exhibition is a great little craft zone, where children can sit and colour in.

A soft play facility is also available in The Leeds Arena. It’s small, but a fantastic addition.

We ate a delicious lunch at the café located on the lower ground floor of the museum. It’s a huge, extremely child-friendly café with a range of seating options.
