Jeanette’s Cakery in Saltaire is a 1940s and 1950s inspired patisserie which boasts delicious homemade cakes, made from scratch, on the premises, the old-fashioned way!
When: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm
Where: 58-60 Bingley Road, Saltaire, BD18 4SD
Extra Info: Serves sandwiches, toasties, salads and soups, a fantastic selection of cakes, scones, pastries and cheesecakes, afternoon tea, ice-creams, sundaes, shakes and soda floats, loose leaf teas, freshly roasted coffees, speciality hot chocolates and a range of cold drinks. A children’s menu for the under 12s is also available. The Mini Unicorn Hot Chocolate sounds amazing: hot chocolate, whipped cream, giant marshmallows, a flake, confetti and glitter!
Although very welcoming of children, this is quite a small café with only six covers, so space is extremely limited. If you can avoid it, don’t bring a pram or pushchair, as there may not be space to house it inside. Jeanette’s Cakery can offer you a padlock to secure your pram or pushchair outside, but this would only be of use if your little one is not asleep in it! This café is probably better suited to those who can carry their children in a sling or car seat, or for children old enough to walk.
