A few weeks ago we discovered the Little Free Library just outside the playground in Hirst Wood. You may have already known about its existence, but we didn’t and thought that it was a fantastic idea.
Inspired by the Hirst Wood Regeneration Group, and with the help of Saltaire Primary School pupils, the Little Free Library was decorated and filled with books for children to borrow.
And now this Little Free Library has become a little bit bigger! It has just been rehoused in a fabulous old telephone box, which has been repainted blue.
You can choose a book to borrow, and then either return or replace it with another book that you think children will enjoy.
You can find out more about this by visiting the Hirst Wood Regeneration Group website.
